About Us

Da Capo is an imprint of Grand Central Publishing dedicated to books about music. Founded in the tradition of the former Da Capo Press, the imprint is led by Nonfiction Editorial Director Brant Rumble and Executive Editor Ben Schafer, and contributed to by editors throughout the Grand Central Publishing group. Da Capo publishes books for people to whom music is far more than a passive listening experience: for the Da Capo reader, music is a way of life and a cornerstone of one’s sense of identity. It is a link to broader traditions of subcultures. The backlist and frontlist includes a wide range of artists, genres, and literary approaches that deliver to readers a deeper understanding of the music that they love.
